Jackson Turner grew up on Florida’s waterways surrounded by the sun, the water, and the rhythm of the outdoors. Early mornings were spent on the water watching the day begin and exploring the mangroves. For Jackson, southern life is about enjoying nature, connecting with friends and family, and making the most of every day outside.

At sixteen, Jackson used money left to him by his great-grandpa to start Backwater Born. He wanted to create a brand that celebrates the southern lifestyle and the way people live and enjoy the outdoors. What started as a personal dream has grown into a community where adventure, comfort, and authenticity come together.

Jackson’s vision is to grow Backwater Born into a place where people can share experiences, explore the outdoors, and feel at home in the lifestyle he loves. Every piece of clothing reflects the sun, the water, and the freedom that comes with living in the south. Through Backwater Born he hopes to inspire others to spend time outside, create memories, and embrace life on their own terms.
